About

I grew up in a family of musicians and therefore decided at a very young age to follow an artistic career path. Still, a great fascination for biology and the human being was always a big part of me. After finishing my master’s degree in classical music, I started with an internship at the former birth centre “Storchenäscht”. It only took a few days until it was crystal clear to me: I want to become a midwife – for sure!

No sooner said than done: I graduated 2018 from ZHAW in Winterthur with my bachelor’s degree in midwifery. I gained experience along the way in various clinics and finally started my first employment as a midwife at the birth centre Storchenäscht in Othmarsingen and at the Paracelsus Hospital in Richterswil.

Currently, I work part time at the See-Spital in Horgen and part time as a freelance midwife. Also, I am experiencing the roller coaster ride of being a mother real time at home with my daughter.

As your midwife, it is very important to me to meet your individual needs with open ears, because every family is so very different. Like music, I consider midwifery as an art – just a lot quieter and without a stage. Becoming a family happens in all sorts of tonalities and is all about perceiving the nuances amidst them.

I am very thankful for being able to follow both professions and regard it as a great enrichment to my life.
